ACC Now

Antics in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb — With the weather delay at the College World series approaching three hours, North Carolina has alternately relaxed, chatted and laughed a lot.

In the first hour, catcher Mark Fleury pulled a surgical glove over his head and donned a fake beard to amuse his teammates. Near the end of the second hour, another player — wearing pitcher Brian Moran's jersey No. 45 — put his pants over his head, cleats on his hands, jersey on his legs — and then performed somersaults, to the delight of the players (who "pantsed" him by pulling down the jersey) and the crowd.

The Tar Heels lead LSU 2-0 in the top of the first inning. The game was ultimately postponed until Friday.
