CHAPEL HILL — UNC freshman Tyler Zeller injured his left wrist with 1:26 left in the second half of UNC's 77-58 win over Kentucky on Tuesday night.
UNC coach Roy Williams said Zeller was taken to the university hospital for x-rays but feared the forward had broken his wrist.
"We feel really good about the win, at the same time, we're concerned about Tyler Zeller," Williams said. "It does not give us a good feeling."
Zeller was going for a breakaway dunk when he was fouled by Kentucky's Ramon Harris. He scored two points on Tuesday after scoring 18 in his college debut on Saturday against Penn.
Zeller, a 7-foot McDonald's All-American from Washington, Ind., started the first two games of the season in the place of Tyler Hansbrough, the senior All-American who is out indefinitely with a stress reaction in his shin. The Heels are also missing senior forward Marcus Ginyard, who will be out until December with a stress fracture in his right foot.

What the----My Answer to you
Thu, 11/20/2008 - 19:11 — EPLTWhen a basketball player attempts a lay-up ,he or she isn't
expecting to be hacked or pushed in the air.I attended the
game and saw the play.I would have preferred that the
clock would have just run down. When a player is thrown
the ball it was an opportunity to score two points.UNC
was not running up 'the score. With a 30 or 40 point lead,
It would have been what was implied.
I have been A Carolina fan all of my life.I saw Kenny Smith
hit by a LSU player in mid-air and James Worth hit by
another player at another time.I will never forget any of
these unnecessary, hurting incidents.I send Tyler Zeller
my best wishes for a complete recovery,I booed too,he
was on my team.Should I have chanted profanity instead?Go Heels!
Not to mention...

Hard to argue
