Virginia's Monica Wright was named the ACC women's basketball defensive player of the year on Wednesday.
The conference also released its All-ACC defensive team, which included Duke senior guard Keturah Jackson.
This season Jackson has collected a career-high 70 steals and her 2.4 average per game ranks sixth in the ACC and 70th nationally.
"I'm so honored and blessed to be named to the All-ACC Defensive team," Jackson said. "One of the key attributes that attracted me to the Duke women's program was the defensive intensity and intimidation. I am grateful and proud to contribute to it."
Wright, who is Virginia's all-time scoring leader, leads the conference in scoring with 23.0 points and 3.6 steals per game.
